Hello Everyone,

Finally I have an online store set up!  You'll have to bear with me as I continue to get things going, this has been a long and steep learning curve...

I am so glad to be able to share these wonderful greeting cards with a wider audience.  Some of you will know me (and the cards) from the trade fairs I do with Lora Verner Designs.  My relationship with them started about 5 years ago when I was frantically pounding the High Street looking for a last minute birthday card for my mum.  I couldn't find anything that wasn't garishly modern and without sweary innuendo.  As the last post was about to be collected, I ducked into the Medici Gallery in South Kensington and found a shelf full of charming vintage cats who saved the day.

I actually bought one of each design that day and kept them to one side in case I was ever faced with a last minute birthday dilemma again (which I am every time...)

One day, as my stock was depleting, I decided to call the number on the back of the cards and I got through to an older American gentleman who was as charming as the vintage designs.  A few years later and I now work alongside him helping to source, choose and create new lines of greeting cards.  It has been a complete and inspiring education which has resulted in my love of all things vintage.  Nothing brings me greater joy than finding a long undiscovered image and turning it into a card for people to enjoy all over again.

Lora Verner Designs goes from strength to strength as a wholesaler and distributor supplying retail outlets all over the world but we often receive enquiries from people requesting just 1 or 2 cards for a special occasion.  That prompted me to start The Vintage Card Company.

I am also currently setting up Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Blogging accounts (help me!) so I can keep you up-to-date with the process involved with our cards from discovery to publication.

Anyway... welcome to The Vintage Card Company.  I will post our social media links here as I create them.  Who'd've thought running a vintage company would include being so thoroughly modern?

Thank you for visiting us.

UPDATE:  All of my social media links can be accessed by clicking the small square icons at the foot of this page.  I'm getting there...
